Signs of the times

They're popping up all over Southeast Texas.

TxDOT will soon turn on some new hi-tech signs designed to help you as you travel throughout the area.

Our latest video shows how it works and what you can expect.

  1. The last "high tech" signs you guys put up on Eastex Freeway could not be read if you had on a pair of sunglasses...duh, it's S.E. Texas!

  2. You're right about that one. The old signs could hardly be seen if they were placed on the dark side of the moon!

The new ones, however, have a brighter luminance and are suppose to work much better in sunlight.

  3. I usually am but that's good to hear. The signs about 75(?) miles west of Houston that alert us poor unfortunates having to travel through that city to traffic snares are greatly appreciated. It gives you the option to take an alternative route.

    Cheers!
